The Saxon Phonics 2 student is provided with his or her own set of grade-appropriate practice workbooks and reader materials with which to review the concepts being taught. The set includes a two-part student workbook, a colorful alphabet strip with D'Nealian style letters on one side and block style letters on the other, student readers, and an irregular spelling booklet.
Phonics 2 begins with a quick review of vowels and consonants, then moves to decoding and reading comprehension.
