| The
Biology Specimen Dissection Kit can be used to complete
dissection lab assignments from any biology course. The
specimens included with this kit enable your student to
complete lab assignments for dissecting a frog, a crayfish,
a perch, and an earthworm. With this kit, students can
safely perform dissection lab assignments at home. The Dissection Equipment Kit comes complete with
instruments and four specimens and includes the following items:
Please note that the kit does NOT include a
microscope.

Laboratory Assignments
The 9th grade biology
curriculum mentioned above, Exploring Creation With Biology, contains three types of laboratory
exercises for the student to perform:
Household
Labs - Only household equipment is used. These labs should be done by all
students. There are many hands-on experiments to do,
and they all use household chemicals and supplies.
Microscope Labs - Requires a
microscope and a slide set. These labs are optional.
Dissection Labs - Requires the
Dissection Equipment Kit. These labs are optional.
This curriculum does not REQUIRE you to perform the Microscope and Dissection Labs.
They will be beneficial to the student (especially if he or she is science-oriented) but
they are not absolutely necessary. However, if you would like to complete those optional
lab assignments, you will need to have both a microscope and the Dissection Equipment
Kit shown above. |
