| OREGON HOMESCHOOL LAW Compulsory School Age: 7 - 18 Oregon state law offers one legal homeschooling option, which is to establish and operate a homeschool. Parents wishing to homeschool their children must submit a letter of intent to the Educational Service District. The letter must include the name and address of the parent/legal guardian, names and dates of birth for all children receiving instruction at home, and the name of the last public school the children attended. Testing is required for students in grades 3, 5, 8, and 10 and must be administered by "a qualified neutral person." There are no requirements regarding attendance, subjects, teacher qualifications, or recordkeeping for this option. Find a homeschool group in Oregon.
