| OKLAHOMA HOMESCHOOL LAW Compulsory School Age: 5 - 18 Oklahoma state law offers one legal homeschooling option, which is to operate a homeschool as an "other means of education." Oklahoma statute does not specifically address homeschools, but "other means of education" provides for suitable educational alternatives, which homeschooling is considered to be. Homeschool students are required to attend 180 days of instruction and must study reading, writing, math, science, citizenship, U.S. Constitution, health, safety, physical education, and conservation. No requirements regarding parent/teacher qualifications, school board notification, recordkeeping, or testing are specified. Find a homeschool group in Oklahoma.
