| MISSOURI HOMESCHOOL LAW Compulsory School Age: 7 - 16 Missouri state law offers one legal homeschooling option, which is to operate a homeschool. Children schooling under this option are required to attend 1000 hours of instruction each year. Of these 1000 hours, a minimum of 600 hours must be spent on the required subjects, which include reading, math, social studies, language arts, and science. Of these 600 hours, 400 must be spent in "the regular homeschool location." Parents should keep attendance logs, records of subjects covered and related activities, samples of coursework, and evaluations. There are no parent/teacher qualifications, school board notification, or testing requirements specified under Missouri homeschool statutes. Find a homeschool group in Missouri.
