| MISSISSIPPI HOMESCHOOL LAW Compulsory School Age: 6 - 17 (by September 1) Mississippi state law offers one legal homeschooling option, which is to establish and operate a homeschool. In order to be in compliance with the homeschooling statute, parents must file a "Certificate of Non-Public Enrollment" with their school district's attendance officer by September 15 of each year. Children schooling under this option are required to attend instruction for the "number of days that each school shall require for promotion from grade to grade." There are no requirements regarding subjects, parent/teacher qualifications, recordkeeping or reporting, or testing. Find a homeschool group in Mississippi.
