Illinois Homeschool Groups and
IL Homeschooling Support
Getting connected to the information you need and to other experienced homeschool parents can
help build confidence for new homeschool parents. Since homeschool laws vary from state to state, we recommend contacting a homeschool group within your state.
The links below provide you with some support groups in Illinois. Visit their websites or contact them for information. You can also see more details about
Illinois homeschool laws.
Another great source for information is your local school district office. With the increased popularity of homeschooling across Illinois, it has become more common for the district superintendent to designate a staff member to assist homeschooling parents.
Association of Peoria Area Christian Home
Educators (APACHE)

the “Getting Started” meeting. We encourage
subscribers to use the newsletter and
website to communicate with other
subscribers of upcoming events that will
enhance their home education efforts.
Christian Home Educators Coalition (CHEC)
Christian Home Educators Coalition
of Illinois is a state organization
whose purpose is to preserve
homeschooling liberties in the state
of Illinois.
Crossroads Area Home School Association

was formed to create a sense of community as
well as to provide an easily accessible
network of communication and resources which
will better equip parents, enhance the
experience for students, and educate local
communities about the viability of
homeschooling.
