Unlike most history textbooks used in public high schools, Streams of Civilization introduces high school kids to world history from an unbiased perspective. The vast majority of ancient history texts written during the 20th century contain an overwhelming bias of interpreting history from a secular and evolutionary perspective. Most secular publishers have purposely revised historical events to completely remove God from history, as if he had no part in it. This bias explains why modern history books rarely attempt to show the relevance of the Bible to the interpretation of historical events.
This anti-God bias is not found in Streams of Civilization. Students using this textbook will be challenged to accept the Biblical method of historical interpretation.
Published by Christian Liberty Press, Streams of Civilization is available in two volumes, recommended as high school level curriculum textbooks for Christian Schools and homeschool families. Volume 1 starts with the earliest recorded history until the discovery of the new world. Streams of Civilization presents students with a wealth of historical data and information on world cultures. Volume 2 covers the events of world history with an emphasis on European and American culture from the Reformation until the 1990's.
