Pretend Play Toys
Studies show pretend play toys give children a medium for putting to practice their unlimited imagination in making decisions. It also allows them to follow through in completing their self-assigned tasks during the pretend play session. According to research, children talk to themselves during pretend play as they plan how they want to accomplish a task. They learn to self-regulate their thoughts and control them during play. Self-esteem is also built up as they complete their made-up goals.
