Getting connected to the information you need and to other experienced homeschool parents can
help build confidence for new homeschool parents. Since homeschool laws vary from state to state, we recommend contacting a homeschool group within your state.

Another great source for information is your local school district office. With the increased popularity of homeschooling across Hawaii, it has become more common for the district superintendent to designate a staff member to assist homeschooling parents.

Hawaii Homeschool Association
Hawai'i Homeschool Association, HHA, is an inclusive
support group of home schooling families. We started out
informally with a few families in 1989. In 1999, HHA
incorporated and is now a non-profit organization with a
board of directors. We are a diverse group of families
with different backgrounds and many different approaches
to home schooling. HHA publishes a bi-monthly
newsletter, maintains a website, and offers classes,
activities, and field trips for members. |
Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Homeschoolers of
Hawaii
We are a group of Catholic
families joined together to promote and
support Catholic homeschooling. We are under
the Spiritual Director of Rev. Edwin J.
Duffy of the Honolulu Diocese. Prayer and
Spirituality are essential to our group. We
promote the Holy Rosary and devotion to Our
Lady of Fatima. We unite under our Holy
Father Pope Benedict XVI and Bishop Clarence
"Larry" Silva of the Honolulu Diocese. Our
goal is to be good Catholic examples to our
children and the community and to teach our
children to know, love, and serve God and
His Holy Church.
