help build confidence for new homeschool parents. Since homeschool laws vary from state to state, we recommend contacting a homeschool group within your state.

Another great source for information is your local school district office. With the increased popularity of homeschooling across Kentucky
, it has become more common for the district superintendent to designate a staff member to assist homeschooling parents.

Bluegrass Homeschool Learning Co-operative,
Inc. (BHLC)
We are a secular homeschooling group
which means we are not specifically
connected with any one church or religion.
Our members come from all walks of life and
belief systems and are united by a desire to
educate our children in a stimulating,
respectful environment. We offer support and
opportunities for ALL homeschooling families
and we welcome all without regard to
religion, race, ability/disability, or
cultural belief. |
Christian
Home Educators of Kentucky (CHEK)
Christian Home Educators of Kentucky (CHEK)
is a statewide home schooling educational
and informational organization established
to assist families who choose to educate
their children at home. CHEK's goal is to
better equip home schoolers with the
necessary skills, tools, and information to
successfully fulfill their convictions and
the God-mandated responsibility to train and
educate their children in the nurture and
admonition of the Lord. CHEK represents over
1100 family members. In addition, we have
approximately 3000 families across the
Commonwealth of Kentucky on our mailing
list. |
Christian Home-Educators of the Bluegrass (CHB)
Christian Home Educators of the Bluegrass is
unapologetically a Christian organization.
All members are encouraged to surround their
schools with prayer and members must be
active in a local group of believers. |
Homeschool Parents Educate (HOPE)
We are a inclusive homeschool support group
in Martin, Lawrence, and surrounding
counties, in Eastern Kentucky. H.O.P.E. is
a "non-directed" organization. There are no
appointed leaders. Everyone helps out and
makes decisions. We offer friendship,
support, information, field trips, play
dates, 4H, and much more. Membership is
free, come join us! |
Kentucky Home Education Association (KHEA)
KHEA is a non-sectarian organization open to
all conscientious supporters of home
education – without regard to race, color,
creed or religion. We are the oldest,
statewide homeschooling organization. |
