Maryland Homeschool Groups and MD Homeschooling Support

Getting connected to the information you need and to other experienced homeschool parents can help build confidence for new homeschool parents. Since homeschool laws vary from state to state, we recommend contacting a homeschool group within your state. The links below provide you with some support groups in Maryland. Visit their websites or contact them for information. You can also see more details about Maryland homeschool laws.

Another great source for information is your local school district office. With the increased popularity of homeschooling across Maryland, it has become more common for the district superintendent to designate a staff member to assist homeschooling parents.

You can find more homeschool support under our 'Support' tab at the top of this page, including our free product catalog and free online learning sites for all core subjects. To find homeschool curriculum books and materials, just hold the mouse over the 'Shopping' tab. There you can shop by subject, by grade level, by brand and by product type.

Child News
This web site is for homeschoolers/educators all over the Delmarva Peninsula who appreciate a specifically Christian world view. We invite ANY home schooling family to participate and enjoy any activity sponsored by C.H.I.L.D. We invite and encourage ANY home schooling family in agreement with our statement of faith to lead, direct, or arrange for activities that would excite children, encouraging them to learn and remain consistent with Christian behavior. We are a mighty witness before the world, and home schoolers are our future leaders.

For a modest $15 fee which has not increased since 1984, members receive much more for their money than a modest newsletter.
North County Home Educators (NCHE)
Located in the northern part of Anne Arundel County, but membership is open to everyone. We do not charge dues, and there are no special membership requirements. We invite everyone to participate in our activities and ask only that you consider organizing an event or helping with one.
