Ohio Homeschool Groups and OH Homeschooling Support

Getting connected to the information you need and to other experienced homeschool parents can help build confidence for new homeschool parents. Since homeschool laws vary from state to state, we recommend contacting a homeschool group within your state. The links below provide you with some support groups in Ohio. Visit their websites or contact them for information. You can also see more details about Ohio homeschool laws.

Another great source for information is your local school district office. With the increased popularity of homeschooling across Ohio , it has become more common for the district superintendent to designate a staff member to assist homeschooling parents.

You can find more homeschool support under our 'Support' tab at the top of this page, including our free product catalog and free online learning sites for all core subjects. To find homeschool curriculum books and materials, just hold the mouse over the 'Shopping' tab. There you can shop by subject, by grade level, by brand and by product type.

CHECC is a home school support group serving families in Clark County, Ohio.  We have approximately 50 families.  We provide families the opportunity to supplement their home schooling experience through field trips, seasonal gatherings, graduation ceremonies, and interest groups.  We also have an annual book sale in the summer months, and publish a monthly newsletter during the school year.

Christian Home Educators of Ohio
CHEO acknowledges that the Lord Jesus Christ must be central and supreme in the rearing of our children, and that Biblical education is an inseparable part of the Christian faith. CHEO seeks to preserve the God-given, constitutional right to home educate, and to support and encourage families in fulfilling this Biblical responsibility.

Christian Home Educators Stark County Association (CHESCA)
CHESCA was formed in 1983, and currently consists of 65 member families from all over Stark County in northeast Ohio, as well as Summit, Mahoning, Wayne, Jefferson, Carroll and Portage counties. Football's Hall-of-Fame Canton is in the center of Stark County, with Akron about 20 miles to the north.

Hearts Towards Home - Marion, OH
Homeschool Network Of Greater Cincinnati
We are a network of families helping each other to educate our children at home.    We do not advocate any particular method, style, or philosophy of home schooling, but help families to connect with one another, and to find the information & resources that they need. Our members come from southern Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky.
Ohio Home Educators Network (OHEN)
Ohio Home Educators Network (OHEN) is a regional network of homeschooling families.   We are an inclusive group supporting families of all religious beliefs. Although OHEN supports a student-led, interest-centered approach, we welcome all homeschooling families regardless of educational philosophy or teaching style.
