2. Sign Up:
Complete our Affiliate sign up form. Please provide us with the same email address used for your PayPal account since that is how PayPal sends funds to your account.

3. Copy the Linking Code:
Log into the new affiliate account to copy the HTML code to use to link to us. Affiliates can choose from our selection of text links and banner ads of various sizes and shapes.

4. Paste the Linking Code:
Paste the HTML code on your website. Affiliates are required to have their own website or at least their own content published on a website, such as a blog site, a free website or an article submission site. Affiliates are required to provide the URL address where their link will be posted. The linking code can also be pasted into emails and email signatures.

5. Start Earning Commissions:
As visitors to your site click the link to our site and make purchases, you can see it all happening in real time. Just log into your new affiliate account to see the clicks, sales and commissions. Please note no commissions are paid on purchases made by affiliates (see explanation below).

Here's How It Works:
This program rewards participants for posting links to Learningthings.com on their website. Affiliates are required to provide the URL address for their website when they sign up. Blog sites and other free websites are acceptable.

This program offers an easy way to earn money for yourself or for any organization you belong to, such as a school booster club or a homeschool group. Just announce to your group members how they can help raise funds for the organization simply by clicking a link to our website whenever they are ready to shop for educational materials.

• Affiliates earn 10% sales commission for all sales coming from their links.
• All affiliates have log-in access to real-time clicks, sales, commissions, payment history, unpaid balances due and much more data.
• All affiliates are required to have a PayPal account to get paid.

• Affiliates can view clicks, sales, commissions and payments in real-time by logging into their account.
• Our software tracks visitors all the way through our site to our order page and records all clicks and purchases.
• Affiliates can link to our home page or directly to any item or category page. Log into the account for detailed instructions on how to create links.
• There is no minimum payment amount. Affiliates get paid commissions on all approved sales regardless of the size of the sale.
• Sales commissions are paid only for shipped sales orders. When a new sales order is created, it remains in 'Pending' status until the sales order has been shipped to our customer. The sales numbers that appear in the affiliate account pages includes both open orders and shipped orders. Since affiliates are paid only for shipped orders, affiliates might notice a variance in the amount of commissions earned compared to the total commissions reported. We are working on updating our software to eliminate this variance by only reporting sales after they are shipped.
• Shipped sales orders returned to us are subtracted from sales commissions. If commissions have already been paid for a returned order, the Affiliate account is charged with the negative commission. Future commission payments will be deducted by the amount of the returned sales commission.
• Sales commissions are not paid for the shipping cost. Commissions are based on the total amount of the sale minus the shipping cost.
• Affiliates earn 10% sales commission on all approved sales (shipped orders).
• Affiliates receive payments to their PayPal account every two weeks.
• Our average sale is over $100.00 so commissions can add up fast!
• Our business is seasonal. Sales during the second half of the year are twice as big as sales during the first half of the year. The peak season for our school books is July-September. The peak season for our toys and science kits is November-December.
• Affiliates are required to have a website to participate in this program. Affiliates can also paste the linking code as text links or banner links on other sites websites that allow free ads, free forums, free blog space or other free websites. To help you get started, we have prepared a list of many of these sites for you. Log into your account for and click the link to 'Free Marketing Ideas'.
• This program is designed to reward affiliates for sending visitors to Learning Things website, not to reward our affiliates for shopping at Learning Things. It is a traffic building program, not a discount program. Please note that commissions are not paid on sales made directly to affiliates. Affiliates who abuse the program by trying to get a price discount for themselves will be removed from the program. We pay commissions only on purchases made by visitors to our affiliate websites.
• Upon successful completion of the sign up form, all applicants receive an immediate email confirmation indicating acceptance as an affiliate. However, Learning Things reserves the right to reject applications for any reason. Rejected applicants can expect to receive a follow up email notification within 3 business days.
• Affiliates are allowed to copy any text and image files from our website to promote any of our products. The only requirement is that the text and images can only be used with links pointing to Learningthings.com and not to any other websites.
