We are not giving away free money. There is a performance requirement to meet before we transfer the $200 from your new affiliate account into your PayPal account. Here are the steps:

1. Create a Free PayPal Account:
We pay our affiliates through PayPal so a PayPal account is required. Affiliates who do not already have a PayPal account should click the link to create one before completing our sign-up form. Any type of PayPal account will accept our payments. It only takes a few minutes to sign up with PayPal and it is free.

2. Sign Up:
Complete our Affiliate sign up form. Please provide us with the same email address used for your PayPal account since that is how PayPal sends funds to your account.

3. Copy the Linking Code:
Log into the new affiliate account to copy the HTML code to use to link to us. Affiliates can choose from our selection of text links and banner ads of various sizes and shapes.

4. Paste the Linking Code:
Paste the HTML code on your website. Affiliates are required to have their own website or at least their own content published on a website, such as a blog site, a free website or an article submission site. Affiliates are required to provide the URL address where their link will be posted. The linking code can also be pasted into emails and email signatures.

5. Pass Go and Collect $200:
After completing steps 1-4 above, the sign-up bonus gets instantly deposited into the new affiliate account. As soon as total Tier-1 sales commissions reach $100, we transfer the $200 sign-up bonus (plus all commissions) from the affiliate's account into their PayPal account. So by the time earnings reach $100 in commissions our affiliates will have been paid a total of $300, which includes the $200 sign-up bonus plus the $100 in earned commissions. Please note no commissions are paid on purchases made by affiliates (see explanation below).

Here's How It Works:
This program rewards participants for posting links to Learningthings.com on their website. Affiliates are required to provide the URL address for their website when they sign up. Blog sites and other free websites are acceptable.

This program offers an easy way to earn money for yourself or for any organization you belong to, such as a school booster club or a homeschool group. Just announce to your group members how they can help raise funds for the organization simply by clicking a link to our website whenever they are ready to shop for educational materials.

• Affiliates earn 10% sales commission for all sales coming from their links. These are called Tier-1 sales.
• Affiliates automatically start building a down-line consisting of other affiliates who have signed up after clicking their referral links. Affiliates earn an additional 2% sales commission for all sales coming from their down-line, which we call Tier-2 sales.
• Our software keeps track of adding down-line affiliates, tracking their sales and adding Tier-2 sales commissions. Affiliates are not required to do anything to manage their down-line affiliates. Affiliates are encouraged but are not required to build their down-line by promoting the program to other potential affiliates.
• All affiliates have log-in access to real-time clicks, Tier-1 sales, Tier-2 sales, Tier-1 commissions, Tier-2 commissions, the number of Tier-2 affiliates, payment history, unpaid balances due and much more data.
• All affiliates are required to have a PayPal account to get paid.
• This program includes 4 levels of affiliates with increased earnings potential at each level. These levels include Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum (see details below).
• In addition to 10% Tier-1 and 2% Tier-2 commissions, affiliates also earn bonus payments, which get larger at each level. All new affiliates enter the program at the Bronze Level and receive a $200 bonus for signing up.  Each time a new level is reached, a new larger bonus gets deposited to the affiliate's account and later released to their PayPal account after required performance is achieved. Bonuses start at $200 in the Bronze level and increase to $3,000 at the Platinum Level (see details below).

No Commissions Paid for Affiliate Purchases:
This program is designed to reward affiliates for sending visitors to Learning Things website, not to reward our affiliates for shopping at Learning Things. It is a traffic building program, not a discount program. Please note that commissions are not paid on sales made directly to affiliates. Affiliates who abuse the program by trying to get a price discount for themselves will be removed from the program. We pay commissions only on purchases made by visitors to our affiliate websites.

Bronze Level Affiliates:
All entry level affiliates are at the Bronze Level... with great potential to move up to higher levels.

Bronze Level Affiliates qualify for the following commissions and bonus earnings:

• Bronze Level Affiliates earn 10% commission on all purchases made by visitors who come to Learningthings.com by clicking their link to our site. We deposit all commission earnings into our affiliates' PayPal account every other week. Commission payments start as soon as the first sale is made.
• As soon as total Tier-1 sales commissions reach $100, we transfer the $200 sign-up bonus (plus all commissions) from the affiliate's account into their PayPal account. So by the time earnings reach $100 in commissions our affiliates will have been paid a total of $300, which includes the $200 sign-up bonus plus the $100 in earned commissions. Affiliates start getting paid commissions as soon as their first sale is made.
• There is no time limit required to reach $100 in commissions. As soon as the sales are there, the $200 bonus gets released.
• Our affiliate program is structured as a two-tier program. This means you earn 10% from sales made on Tier-1 plus an additional 2% on all purchases made by affiliates who came to Learningthings.com by clicking on your link to our site. These down-line affiliates comprise your Tier-2.

Silver Level Affiliates:

The earnings don't stop at the Bronze Level... affiliates can move up to the Silver Level.

After reaching the $100 level in earned Tier-1 commissions, affiliates not only receive the $200 sign-up bonus from the Bronze Level, they also get promoted to Silver Level Affiliate. Silver Level Affiliates continue to earn the same 10% Tier-1 and 2% Tier-2 sales commissions but also qualify for new larger bonus earnings:

• A $500 bonus gets deposited into the affiliate's account as soon as the Silver Level is attained. This replenishes the original $200 bonus which was awarded at the Bronze Level but was paid to the affiliates PayPal account.
• The new $500 bonus gets transferred to the affiliate's PayPal account as soon as total Tier-1 commissions reach $2,000 and at least 5 down-line affiliates have reached the Silver Level.
• $50 bonus each time any of their down-line affiliates reach the Silver Level ($100 in Tier-1 commissions per affiliate).
• Silver Level affiliates gain increased access to our vast database of free Internet marketing ideas. We show our affiliates what to do and where to go to get more visitors and more down-line affiliates. We share more ideas, data and results from our own success stories and failures to help our affiliates find the most productive free marketing tactics.

Gold Level Affiliates:

Important Program Features:

• Affiliates can view clicks, sales, commissions and payments in real-time by logging into their account.
• Our software tracks visitors all the way through our site to our order page and records all clicks and purchases.
• Visitors coming from an Affiliate link who join our affiliate program are automatically added to the referring Affiliate's down-line. The number of down-line affiliates and total Tier-2 sales are displayed in real time in the Earnings Summary.
• Affiliates can link to our home page or directly to any item or category page. Log into the account for detailed instructions on how to create links.
• There is no minimum payment amount. Affiliates get paid commissions on all approved sales regardless of the size of the sale.
• Sales commissions are paid only for shipped sales orders. When a new sales order is created, it remains in 'Pending' status until the sales order has been shipped to our customer.
• Shipped sales orders returned to us are subtracted from sales commissions. If commissions have already been paid for a returned order, the Affiliate account is charged with the negative commission. Future commission payments will be deducted by the amount of the returned sales commission.
• Sales commissions are not paid for the shipping cost. Commissions are based on the total amount of the sale minus the shipping cost.
• Affiliates earn 10% sales commission on all Tier-1 approved sales (shipped orders).
• Affiliates earn 2% sales commission on all Tier-2 approved sales (shipped orders).
• Tier-1 and Tier-2 earnings are identified on separate line items in the Earnings Summary in each affiliate's account.
• There is no limit to the number of down-line affiliates who can be added and no limit to the amount of Tier-1 or Tier-2 sales commissions.
• Affiliates receive payments to their PayPal account every two weeks.
• Our average sale is over $100.00 so commissions can add up fast!
• Our business is seasonal. Sales during the second half of the year are twice as big as sales during the first half of the year. The peak season for our school books is July-September. The peak season for our toys and science kits is November-December.
• All bonuses are paid only after the required performance is achieved. Please refer to the bonus details for each Affiliate Level as shown above.
• All bonus payments are displayed on the bonus payment line in the Earnings Summary in the affiliate's account as soon as the bonus is earned. Paid bonuses continue to display on the bonus line so affiliates can see total bonuses earned over time.
• Affiliates are required to have a website to participate in this program. Affiliates can also paste the linking code as text links or banner links on other sites websites that allow free ads, free forums, free blog space or other free websites. To help you get started, we have prepared a list of many of these sites for you. Log into your account for and click the link to 'Free Marketing Ideas'.
• This program is designed to reward affiliates for sending visitors to Learning Things website, not to reward our affiliates for shopping at Learning Things. It is a traffic building program, not a discount program. Please note that commissions are not paid on sales made directly to affiliates. Affiliates who abuse the program by trying to get a price discount for themselves will be removed from the program. We pay commissions only on purchases made by visitors to our affiliate websites.
• Upon successful completion of the sign up form, all applicants receive an immediate email confirmation indicating acceptance as an affiliate. However, Learning Things reserves the right to reject applications for any reason. Rejected applicants can expect to receive a follow up email notification within 3 business days.
• Affiliates are allowed to copy any text and image files from our website to promote any of our products. The only requirement is that the text and images can only be used with links pointing to Learningthings.com and not to any other websites.
