The My First LeapPad learning system introduces preschoolers to reading, math and discovery skills through interactive stories and activities that come to life with the touch of a Magic Pen. Early reading begins with early fun as children play and learn with interactive books that feature a story on one side and activities, games, and music on the other.
How does it work?
Your child places a book on the My First LeapPad player, pops in the cartridge, and watches the learning begin. By touching the book with the Magic Pen, kids explore the alphabet, discover letter names and phonics, play fun learning games, and hear words, music and sound effects. Colorful characters and creative stories in each book help children become confident pre-readers.

The My First LeapPad learning system uses a smaller platform that is designed for the hands and dexterity of children 3 - 5. It also features a carrying handle perfect for little hands. Plus, the My First LeapPad introduces the Magic Pen at a time when children are beginning to use crayons and markers.
The books in the My First LeapPad library contain shorter stories to teach ABCs, numbers, phonics, and pre-reading, pre-math and pre-writing skills.
