This alphabet incorporates the slant and many of the letter forms of the cursive alphabet. Most of the letters are made with one stroke, which eliminates midletter choices and reduces reversals. After the child masters the PreCursive style of writing, he will learn to write the cursive alphabet. HANDWRITING 2 greatly simplifies the problems inherent in the transition from manuscript to cursive letters. When beginning cursive writing, your child will learn one additional stroke-a cursive stroke-that will enable him to change most PreCursive letters to cursive letters.
